Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for worldwide environmental protection.

In 2022, Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) joined the group to echo for CommonWealth Magazine "CSR@天下", and launched "Tamsui River Convention of Earth Day_ Voice for the Great River" together with the corporates and citizens, who pay attention to CSR initiatives.

Tamsui River is like a very hard-working mother, taking care of more than 8 million people in northern Taiwan. We look forward to building a good habitat for the creatures in Tamsui River.

CPT signed and echoed to the "Tamsui River Convention" from 2021. During this period, we advocated to our colleagues to bring their own eco-friendly tableware in daily life to reduce the dependence on disposable tableware. When receiving visitors, we replace the bottled water with sparkling water glasses to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles. At the same time, in addition to CPT own efforts to protect the environment, CPT’s employees are encouraged to bring home the sparkling water to share with their families. Through promoting and sharing ideas and then influencing others to achieve the common goal of sustainable development, plastic reduction can be realized in life, and the "Do one thing for Tamsui River" plan has also been achieved.
