Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) recently organized a company-wide visit to the "Rare Disease Home", a residential care facility affiliated with the Rare Disease Foundation located in Hsinchu. Far more than a corporate outing, this meaningful journey brought employees face-to-face with the lived realities of individuals living with rare diseases. Through hands-on experiences, heartfelt life stories, and warm cross-institutional connections, the visit transformed the company's core value of "Patient Centricity" from an abstract principle into a deeply personal and unforgettable conviction for every employee.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) has once again achieved a landmark milestone in sustainability, earning recognition at one of Asia's most prestigious sustainability honors — the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA). This year's awards ceremony was held on June 26, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, where CPT claimed two prestigious honors — the Green Leadership Award and the Health Promotion Award. The double win marks CPT's fifth consecutive year of recognition at AREA and its first-ever win in the Health Promotion category, underscoring the company’s outstanding achievements in both environmental sustainability and health promotion.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) led its team to Taitung Zhiben on February 24, 2026, to collaborate with P.K. EverCovenant in hosting the "Low-Carbon Rice Adoption Unveiling Ceremony." This initiative not only symbolizes the company's firm commitment to Environmental protection (E), Social responsibility (S), and Governance (G), and the implementation of Chugai Group's TOP I 2030 environmental sustainability goals, but also demonstrates how the pharmaceutical industry's definition of "health" has extended from the human body to encompass the sustainable development of land and ecosystems.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) held a patient care workshop on December 16, turning the concept of " Patient-centricity" from a slogan into concrete action. The event invited patients and their families to share their experiences, enabling the management and cross-departmental colleagues to gain deeper insights into patient needs and work together toward a more supportive healthcare environment.
Mr. Yuji HABARA, President and General Manager of CPT, stated that the company's mission is not only to address "Unmet Medical Needs" but also to actively respond to "Unmet Social Needs." He emphasized that challenges such as treatment side effects, efficacy, and the time and financial burden of hospital visits significantly affect patients' daily lives. Mr. Habara noted that our vision is to continuously explore and collaborate to improve patients' quality of life. This is the very purpose behind organizing this workshop.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan's Patient Support and ESG teams collaborated with Tri-Service General Hospital to host an "ESG Sustainable Essential Oil DIY and Health Education Workshop" at the hospital on October 18th. The event combined Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles with patient health education activities, attracting enthusiastic participation from 54 patients and medical staffs.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) organized a three-day, two-night "Chiayi-Tainan Charity Cycling Tour" in September this year (2025). Along the route, participants not only challenged their physical endurance but also brought corporate warmth to the Mindao Home in Chiayi, donating essential daily supplies and demonstrating the company's deep care for disadvantaged groups.
The CPT cycling team departed from Chiayi on the first day and headed south to Tainan on the second day, traversing this historically rich ancient capital amid alternating torrential rain and scorching sun. Cycling past landmarks such as Anping Fort, they experienced the profound cultural heritage of the 府城 (Fu-cheng). In the afternoon, the team visited Tainan's famous Sicao Green Tunnel, temporarily escaping the heat in the shade-woven waterway and experiencing the tranquil beauty of nature.
On the final day, the team pressed forward against heat waves in 36-degree temperatures. In the afternoon, they visited the Ten Drum Culture Village, experiencing Tainan's cultural and creative vitality. Under the blazing sun, every pedal stroke tested their willpower. Adding to the challenge, they encountered torrential rain along the way. Facing these harsh weather conditions, all participants demonstrated remarkable perseverance and team spirit, supporting each other and successfully completing the entire cycling challenge.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) has once again received the "Excellent" award in the 2025 Taipei City Government Street Tree Adoption Program, demonstrating the company's continuous efforts and excellent achievements in environmental sustainability.
A total of 385 adoption units participated in this year's evaluation. After rigorous review, only 31 units received awards, with a winning rate of just 8%. Among these, 22 units received the "Outstanding" award and 9 units received the "Excellent" award. CPT's ability to stand out among numerous participating units and receive the "Excellent" evaluation fully demonstrates its professional capabilities and continuous commitment in the field of ESG sustainable development.

Chugai Pharma Taiwan Ltd (台灣中外製藥) on Friday was honored at the prestigious Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA), receiving accolades in the Green Leadership and Social Empowerment categories.
It was the fourth consecutive year the company has received international recognition at AREA, underscoring its long-term commitment and tangible achievements in environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

This year, Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) has officially partnered with Blueseeds, a local Taiwanese sustainability brand, to adopt and support organic herb farms, reinforcing the company's commitment to corporate sustainability (ESG). Recently, company executives traveled to Taitung to attend the official adoption ceremony, meet with contract farmers, and experience firsthand the natural beauty of the organic herb fields.
