This year, Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) has officially partnered with Blueseeds, a local Taiwanese sustainability brand, to adopt and support organic herb farms, reinforcing the company's commitment to corporate sustainability (ESG). Recently, company executives traveled to Taitung to attend the official adoption ceremony, meet with contract farmers, and experience firsthand the natural beauty of the organic herb fields.

During the event, CPT's Executives and ESG team explored a variety of herbs, such as lavender and rosemary. These herbs are cultivated using organic farming methods, ensuring environmental protection while maintaining the highest quality standards. In addition, the Blueseeds team invited farmers to guide CPT Executives and ESG team in planting lavender seedlings. Each participant personally planted a seedling, and CPT Executives and ESG team contributed their efforts by helping farmers trim lavender stems and flowers that would compete for nutrients and are not used in essential oil extraction. Once carefully extracted, these valuable plants are transformed into high-quality essential oils, providing consumers with natural and safe aromatherapy products.

Blueseeds organized a hands-on essential oil workshop for CPT's executives and ESG team, offering participants an immersive experience in essential oils introduction, blending essential oil sprays, and making aloe vera face masks. Through this activity, participants gained a deeper understanding of the diverse benefits of herbal plants and the role of natural essential oils in stress relief and overall well-being.
