    • Transfers among Chugai Group entities are governed by an Intra-Group Transfer Agreement (IGTA), ensuring sufficient protection levels. We have concluded an Intra Group Transfer Agreement to ensure that the transfer of Personal Data within our group is protected to a certain standard.
    • Transfers to Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau shall strictly adhere to restrictions and guidelines issued by competent authorities (e.g., Ministry of Health and Welfare).
  • Retention Period, Region, Recipients, and Methods of Use
    • Retention:
      Unless otherwise required by applicable laws or regulations, personal data will be retained for the duration of its specific purpose. Retention may also follow contractual obligations or legitimate business needs.

      • Request cessation of data collection, processing, or use: If the data exceeds the original specified purpose, or if you object to its continuous use, you may request the Company to cease the relevant collection, processing, or use.
      • Request deletion: Within the scope permitted by law, you may request the deletion of your personal data.
    • Requests can be submitted via the contact information provided in Section 8. However, in accordance with applicable laws, the Company may deny requests that would conflict with its own or third parties’ significant interests, or under other circumstances as permitted by law.
      Upon receipt of your request, the Company will make a decision within the following timeframes and notify you in writing:
      • Requests for inquiry, review, or copies: A response will be provided within 15 days. If necessary, the period may be extended for an additional 15 days, with a written explanation of the reason.
      • Requests for supplementation, correction, deletion, or cessation of use: A response will be provided within 30 days. If necessary, the period may be extended for an additional 30 days, with a written explanation of the reason.
    • If the personal data you request involves sensitive personal data as defined under Article 6 of the PDPA (e.g., medical records, healthcare data, genetic information, sex life, health examination results, or criminal records), the Company will assess the nature and associated risk level of such data. Depending on the assessment, the Company may request the data subject to provide supporting documents, identity verification information, or additional written declarations to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the data subject or third parties.
    • Pursuant to Article 14 of the PDPA, the Company may charge necessary costs for responding to requests to inquire, review, or obtain copies of your personal data.
    • You have the option to provide personal data. Incomplete or inaccurate data may prevent the Company from providing complete services or engaging in relevant business.
