Chugai Pharma Taiwan spares no effort in caring for society and employee health, and holds charity cycling event to not only value the importance of work and life balance, but also actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility. This year, Chugai Pharma Taiwan held a 3-day and 2-night charity cycling event from Nov. 4th-6th, 2022. The event saw riders traveling south along the coastline of Hsinchu, passing the Xiangshan Wetland Crab Trail, Harp Bridge, Waipu Lotus Valley, and Gaomei Wetland.

The year, charitable donation event was arranged to visit “Taichung Xin-An Home for Special Education Children”. This unit is the only 24-hour residential institution for the disabled in the Coastline Region of Taichung City, and currently accommodates 13 people with disabilities, which includes individuals with moderate, severe, and extremely severe mentally disabled people. Taichung Xin-An Home provides services such as home life training, medical care, residential education, and skills training to safeguard the rights and interests of mentally disabled individuals in the Coastline Region. The Home provides these individuals with adequate care and a suitable living environment, reduces the pressure and load on caregivers, and is an institution that offers family-like education and care to help the mentally disabled find value in life. This event and the on-site visits were guided by the Director of the Home, and colleagues of Chugai Pharma Taiwan along with their families learned more about the establishment background and services of the Home. They also donated a large amount of materials needed by the Home such as nutritional products, books, inspirational teaching aids, and educational toys.

Having a corporate day combined with such a meaningful public welfare activity allowed Chugai Pharma Taiwan colleagues and their families to experience the joy in giving back to society. The Company will continue to care for society, practice corporate social responsibility, and hope to attract more partners to care about issues regarding social welfare.
