Recently, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, Taiwan has entered level 3 alert. For 24-hour Social Welfare Residential Institutions, the pandemic prevention is like a long-term war.
Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT), a benevolent company, stepped forward and donated NTD100,000 to Yilan Nursing Home of Eden Social Welfare Foundation, helped the Nursing Home to purchase pandemic prevention materials and nutrition. Not only nearly 200 residents with disabilities received nutrition support, it also supported the nursing home to do good pandemic prevention, so that disabled residents and frontline workers could have more protection, which greatly improves the safety and quality of services.
To express gratitude for the love and warmth from CPT, Yilan Nursing Home prepared a certificate of appreciation on Jun. 28th and also took photos with residents with disabilities. They look forward to more companies in the future lending a helping hand to the disabled in need.

CPT has devoted themselves to public welfare for many years and has never stopped caring for disabled residents in Nursing Home of Eden, Yilan County. As early as 2017, CPT combined cycling events to lead employees to visit Yilan Nursing Home, and also warmly donated uniform invoices, rice, hair dryers, dehumidifiers and other materials. In 2018, at the charity gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of Chugai’s founding in Taiwan, CPT created innovative scarfs and neckties for charity sale, by the end of the day, CPT collected NTD 235,600 and then donated the amounts to the Nursing Home of Eden, Yilan County to provide better care to the disabled residents.
Recently, the situation of Covid-19 has become more severe. CPT has extended a warm helping hand, hoping to help the Nursing Home of Eden, Yilan County to purchase more daily necessities for pandemic prevention through the donation of NTD 100,000 and accompany them to survive the pandemic.

In addition to Eden Foundation’s own pandemic prevention measures, they are very grateful for the caring from CPT, which provided Yilan Nursing Home the strong support to accompany the disabled residents to fight the severe pandemic. CPT also appealed to hope that through this donation, it will stimulate more charitable responses and encourage more companies to join, so that disadvantaged and disabled people can be cared by the public, and let the pandemic prevention network stronger in all corners of the society.
