World Hemophilia Day- Chugai Pharma Taiwan & Rakuten Monkeys call attention to Hemophilia

World Hemophilia Day is celebrated annually on April 17. This year, Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT), together with Rakuten Monkeys, held the Round up Red Team Event in support of World Hemophilia Day. This year’s event revolves around the motto of “ADAPTING TO CHANGE - Sustaining care in a new world”. Hoping that in the post-pandemic period, we can continue to take good care of ourselves in response to the new changes and raise public awareness of hemophilia. More than 200 hemophiliacs and their families and friends were invited to cheer at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium wearing special jerseys to bring a festive atmosphere to the stadium.

The honored guests lighting up the stadium symbol, guests from right to left are Chairman of the Hemophilia Association of Taiwan, Rui-chin, Zhou and President of CPT, Henry Chen, Deputy General Manager, Yuki Ohashi, and Senior Product Manager, Alan Lai.

Red light lights up the stadium as a symbol of bringing the world's attention to hemophiliacs

Due to the lack of coagulation factors in the body, the blood of hemophiliacs does not clot easily, and they are prone to bleeding due to injuries. In order to appeal to the public to understand hemophilia correctly and create a friendly environment, the symbol of Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium was dyed "red" to represent hemophilia. Through the lighting of red lights, we hope to echo World Hemophilia Day with many other countries, and to let the world know about Taiwan's efforts to treat hemophilia through this representative event.

The ball team cheerleaders took their dance to new heights to support patients

The event not only provided the audience with custom-made jerseys and towels, but also brought the World Hemophilia Day event to its climax with a Step by Step dance choreographed by the Chugai and performed by the Rakuten Monkeys Cheerleading team during the intermission.

Creating a friendly and caring environment through World Hemophilia Day events

Mr. Henry Chen, the President of CPT, expressed his pleasure to organize this event in support of World Hemophilia Day. As a dedicated company to the research and development of innovative drugs, we are constantly challenging the status quo in order to provide patients with drugs that better meet their treatment needs and enable them to have a better quality of life.
Mr. Rui chin, Zhou, Chairman of the Hemophilia Association of Taiwan, expressed his gratitude to Chugai Pharma Taiwan and Rakuten Monkeys for inviting us to participate in this meaningful event, and for allowing baseball lovers to learn more about this disease on April 17. With the support of Taiwan's health insurance and pharmaceutical companies, many new drugs have been introduced to prevent blood loss and improve the quality of treatment, so that we can shout, raise our arms, and dance in the stadium. We thank our friends and hope we can all win the game and be healthy.
