To achieve TOP I 2030 milestones of Chugai Group, "Implementing ESG and Sustainable Social Development", Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) has taken part in ‘Sidewalk Tree Adoption by Corporate’ since 2019, promoting by the Park Administration Office of Taipei City Government. This year (April 2022), CPT won "Best adopter", which was evaluated by Taipei City Government!

There are 628 units have participated in adoption of parks, green spaces, plazas, and sidewalk trees in Taipei City. This year, the Taipei City Government evaluated the most creative and dynamic, and outstanding contributors to the creation of diverse cityscapes, 17 of which were awarded. The winning rate was only 2.7%. It shows that CPT's efforts to the social environment have been recognized by the government, which is also the first case in pharmaceutical industry.

CPT shown concern about environmental protection carefully by cooperating with planting experts to evaluate soil condition, "grow grasses", and "replace different varieties of colorful flowers regularly" to effectively maintain good soil condition in surrounding area and reduce carbon and greenhouse gas emissions accordingly. Furthermore, "night lights" were installed around the planting area, which created a green landscape in Taipei City, also boosted good moods for passengers. Installing spotlights to light up the plants and trees not only beautifies the community, but also increases pedestrians’ safety at night, which can be seen as a wonderful combination of caring on both community and environment.
