Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) Officially Announces Re-joining the "2026 TALENT, in Taiwan – Talent Sustainability Action Alliance"

test

We can always do more to embrace our talent. Talent sustainability has always been a priority for us. In response to the new challenges that AI and rapid change bring to talent development, and to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we are proud to officially announce that Chugai Pharma Taiwan is re-joining the "2026 TALENT, in Taiwan – Talent Sustainability Action Alliance."

This year, we commit to delivering the following for our people:

  1. Meaning & Value: CPT continuously challenges itself to pursue excellence, upholding core values of "Patient Centric," "Pioneering Spirit," and "Integrity”, we envision becoming a leading pioneer in the pharmaceutical industry and aspire to be the unique first choice for top pharmaceutical talents. Each quarter, department heads publicly share cultural best practices and advocate for our corporate vision and mission. Executives from our Japan headquarters visit Taiwan to host Town Hall Meetings, fostering two-way communication and helping every employee find purpose and meaning in their work.
  2. Diversity & Inclusion: We actively encourage the recruitment of members from diverse backgrounds — across departments, genders, and professional disciplines — and promote cross-functional task forces that bring multiple perspectives to drive projects forward. We also provide training on diversity and inclusion to cultivate a culture of equity and belonging.
  3. Rewards & Recognition: We maintain a fair and transparent performance appraisal and promotion system, and regularly engage external consultants to conduct comprehensive reviews of our compensation structure, ensuring both internal equity and external competitiveness. We host informal dining gatherings between managers and employees to listen to their voices, and organize year-end party, lucky draws, and family days to strengthen team cohesion and foster a strong sense of belonging.
  4. Physical and Mental Health: We provide employee benefits that exceed the requirements of the Labor Standards Act, including enhanced annual leave, LOHAS leave, paid sick leave, and a two-day-per-week remote work arrangement — all designed to support work-life balance. Annual health check-ups and wellness seminars are provided at no cost to employees, along with comprehensive group insurance coverage that extends to spouses and children, giving employees peace of mind to focus on their work. Our annual cycling event also promotes the physical and mental well-being of employees and their families, while incorporating charitable visits to care institutions and donation drives — embodying the spirit of giving back to society.
  5. Learning & Growth: From onboarding training, core competency development, software application workshops, and coaching leadership programs, to small-group English and Japanese language classes and fully sponsored external professional training — we empower every employee to reach their full potential, enhance job satisfaction, and advance their careers within the organization. Personalized development plans are crafted for employees at every level — individual contributors, frontline managers, mid-level managers, and senior leaders — covering functional skills, people management, and strategic management. With clear promotion pathways and abundant on-the-job training resources, we ensure our employees' motivation to learn never stops.
  6. Communication & Experience: We hold annual communication skills training to strengthen employee communication capabilities. We actively promote a culture of trust and respect, encouraging employees to share honest feedback openly, fostering a transparent two-way communication culture. Additionally, our cross-departmental internship program gives employees the opportunity to apply for rotational experiences in other departments, broadening their development horizons and strengthening cross-functional collaboration for more successful project outcomes.

We will continue to take action alongside #CheersLearning and our alliance partners — co-learning and co-creating to drive meaningful change, so that talent is seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
