In October 2024, Chugai Pharma Taiwan organized a three-day, two-night charity cycling trip across the scenic Penghu islands. Riding against the wind, the team cycled through breathtaking seascapes, blending the challenges of cycling with the island’s natural beauty. Beyond the adventure, they brought warmth and support to the Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation’s Le Pont House, spreading the spirit of sportsmanship and the company’s deep commitment to social responsibility.

The Chugai Pharma Taiwan cycling team rode along winding coastal roads, feeling the ocean’s headwinds—testing physical endurance and strengthening the spirit. By noon, they indulged in a Penghu seafood feast, with fresh fish and shrimp offering a welcome reprieve. The soft, sweet black sugar cakes added a unique local flavor to their journey.

On the second day, the team reached one of Penghu’s iconic spots: the Trans-Oceanic Bridge. Braving powerful winds, each pedal forward became a personal challenge of endurance. In the afternoon, they visited the remote beauty of Yuwengdao Lighthouse, surrounded by the vast ocean. They then continued to the stunning basalt columns, a natural marvel showcasing the island’s geological grandeur. Standing before these magnificent rock formations, everyone felt the island’s beauty and strength, cherishing the memories created during this heartfelt journey.

On the final day of the journey, Chugai Pharma Taiwan’s team delivered essential supplies to the Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation’s Le Pont House, hoping to provide meaningful support to individuals with intellectual disabilities before winter arrives. Volunteers unloaded boxes of healthcare products, cleaning supplies, and more, engaging with the residents, touring the facility, and sharing warm interactions. The joyful smiles of the residents instantly lifted the spirits of the Chugai Pharma employees and their families, making the effort truly rewarding.

Following the donation ceremony, the team prepared for the final leg of their journey. As the adventure drew to a close, the group paused for a commemorative photo along the coast, capturing the spirit of a journey filled with challenge, camaraderie, and compassion.
