In recent years, the invasion of exotic plants has seriously affected the habitat of native plants in Taiwan. As a sustainable corporation, Chugai Pharma Taiwan shows the concern to this problem and initiates the exotic plants removal activity to protect the balance of ecosystem. On August 17, 2019, CPT heads to Yang-Ming Mountain for a 1-day ecological education and family activity in order to save the ecosystem. Yang-Ming Mountain is one of the beauty national parks in Taiwan, which breeds fruitful species. However, the ecosystem is gradually being damaged due to the exotic plants, tradescantia fluminensis. The Yangmingshan National Park has invested a lot of manpower every year to remove these exotic plants. Because of the need for manpower, CPT employees and their families volunteer to remove the tradescantia fluminensis that grows at an extremely fast speed and kills all other plants surround them. All participants are requested to bring own kettle, environmentally friendly tableware, and raincoat in order to ensure the activity won’t bring more trashes to the mountain. At the end of the day, all participants feel tired but worthy.
