Chugai Pharma Taiwan (CPT) organized a three-day, two-night "Chiayi-Tainan Charity Cycling Tour" in September this year (2025). Along the route, participants not only challenged their physical endurance but also brought corporate warmth to the Mindao Home in Chiayi, donating essential daily supplies and demonstrating the company's deep care for disadvantaged groups.

The CPT cycling team departed from Chiayi on the first day and headed south to Tainan on the second day, traversing this historically rich ancient capital amid alternating torrential rain and scorching sun. Cycling past landmarks such as Anping Fort, they experienced the profound cultural heritage of the 府城 (Fu-cheng). In the afternoon, the team visited Tainan's famous Sicao Green Tunnel, temporarily escaping the heat in the shade-woven waterway and experiencing the tranquil beauty of nature.

On the final day, the team pressed forward against heat waves in 36-degree temperatures. In the afternoon, they visited the Ten Drum Culture Village, experiencing Tainan's cultural and creative vitality. Under the blazing sun, every pedal stroke tested their willpower. Adding to the challenge, they encountered torrential rain along the way. Facing these harsh weather conditions, all participants demonstrated remarkable perseverance and team spirit, supporting each other and successfully completing the entire cycling challenge.

The most meaningful moment of the first day occurred when CPT visited the Mindao Home in Chiayi. Mindao Home serves friends with severe and profound disabilities. CPT delivered daily necessities directly to the residents, including nutritional supplements, daily cleaning products, and essential living supplies, hoping to bring practical help and warmth to friends with disabilities.

CPT's President Yuji Habara also expressed deep care for Mindao Home in his speech. He emphasized that as a pharmaceutical company, CPT not only always puts patients at the center but also fulfills corporate social responsibility by caring for friends in society who need help.

Volunteers carried boxes of donated supplies into the home, warmly interacting with residents and touring their living environment. What was particularly touching was that people with disabilities specially prepared wonderful musical performances. Seeing the their bright smiles and sincere gratitude, and listening to their moving musical performances, CPT's employees and their families were deeply moved. The fatigue from cycling instantly disappeared, replaced by a profound sense of accomplishment and warmth.

After completing the donation ceremony, the cycling team took commemorative photos with the residents, deeply imprinting these precious memories in everyone's hearts.

During the three-day, two-night cycling journey, participants measured the beautiful scenery of the Chiayi-Tainan Plain with their wheels and conveyed deep care for society's disadvantaged with their hands.

As the team embarked on their return journey, CPT once again made a commitment: they will continue to organize charity activities in the future, allowing more friends in need to feel the warmth and care from society.
